Localization
The major page under “localization” menu permits you configure the units used for your products.
Import Localization pack
This part suggests you with a broad list of accessible localization pack which you can introduce. This will set up your prestashop installation with your suitable local units, but it also includes several data:
States: When delivering product to a country, it can prove that it is important to know that it is sent because it will impact local customs and taxes. Included states can view and edit the “United States” page under the “Localization” menu.
Taxes: The real significance of localization is local taxes, and they can be different and varied depending on country or state. Prestashop offers you with a basic support for the major taxes and Tax Rules. Additional taxes and tax rules can be viewed and edited in the “Tax” and “Tax Rules” pages under the “localization” menu.
Currencies: Overseas customers will appreciate to be able to exchange the price on your store into their own currency. US dollars and Euros should be available with your country’s own currency. Once included, you will need to start a new currency using the “Currencies” page under the “localization” menu, and Ensure the exchange rate is correct. Included currencies can be founded and edited on the “Currencies” page.
Languages: All public sectors in your store can be created in many languages, and it is important you to do so at least in the name and description of your products. Please note that importing a language imports its date format (d / m / y, m / d / y, d.m.Y, etc.), among other things. The added languages can be viewed and edited by the “languages “page under the “Configuration” menu.
Units: Weight, Dimension, Volume, and Distance: These units are required for your product and for your own packaging information. They can view and edit this page in the “Localization” section.
Change the behavior of the lines displayed to the groups: This is not a standard for import but can be converted into an imported system.
If you can see, this additional data is optional: you can choose to import the currency and language for a given country, for example it is not taxes.
Importing localized packaging (as per your statistics) may be useful if you do not include many local data in the fear of causing great excitement to you and your customers.
In addition to the default units, all data for a given country cannot be automatically removed; if you want to delete the data, you need to do manually on the respective pages under the “Localization” menu.
Configuration
His part groups have four default local systems, the main importance:
Default language: This is the main language for your shop. This setting will affect the language of your background office (including the key language for your products) and the leading office. Note that the language of the pre-office may be compatible with the client’s browser setting.
Default Country: The location of your business. If you comprise a head office in various countries, use your major or original country.
Default currency: Your goods prices are the first set of currency. Currencies are included by importing and processing a country currency. If you have already set up some product prices and change the currency, you have to update all existing prices manually. That value should be set once and for all.
Time zone: You own your time zone. For example, it’s useful for daily discounting: you know when it starts and ends.
While version 1.6.0.10, there is an additional setting of “Default language” and “Default country” setting:
- For “Default language”: Set the language from browser. Setting the prestashop store’s language depending on the language of the guests browser’s locale code (for instance: fr_CA gives French)
- For “Default country”: Set default country from browser language. The language code of the guest’s browser will set the store’s country depending on the area of the visitor’s browser’s locale code (for instance, fr_CA gives Canada).
Local units
The objective units presented in this part (weight, distance, volume, and dimension) are used both in your product sheets and for your own packaging needs – – ultimately your relationship with your carrier is essential.
These values can be set when importing localized packages to a country, but you can manually edit them. For example, if the focus is replaced by the replacement of the unit, replace the default “L” into “cL”.

Advanced
This final part raises you to set your server’s local language and country, as ISO code:
For the language: ISO 639-1 code (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes).
For the country: ISO 3166-1 Alpha 2 code (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-1_alpha-2).
These values can be set when importing local value packages into a country, but they can be manually edited at any time
