If anyone makes a decision to become a vendor, there are some procedures that to be followed by them to become a superior vendor. Vendor should decide where to start their dashboard first, and then they should get authorization from the admin. The following Process will show you about the registration and procedure that ought to be followed by the vendors.

Admin Setting:

At this time, if the setting option “Allow Seller Separate Dashboard” as “Yes” has set by the admin. Then, Separate seller dashboards will be given to vendor and customer panel. Both the panel will no longer be able to be seen on the same seller dashboard in Magento.

Login Account:

For every vendor panel, the vendor should log into on his seller account only and for every customer panel, the customer should log into on his own customer account as shown in the below image.

In the above image, the vendor will be able to view the new login section and be able to come into his credentials to log in to his account panel, clicking on the “Vendor Login” Link.

Admin will upload the Logo. Now, let’s discuss about the various options that are available on the above page.

Vendor Account Drop-Down:

The account connected options will be shown after clicking on the vendor account drop-down option which includes:

  • Account Settings
  • Buyer Dashboard
  • Logout

Seller Account Settings In Magento dashboard

The first option in the menu is account settings, clicking on the account settings menu will take forward the vendor to the “Marketplace edit seller profile” page. In this page, the vendor can edit and modify his profile information and can see his collection and can view their profile pages by clicking the buttons provided for them. This page also helps the vendors to manage their payment information as fine and a lot more. The image for account settings is shown below.

Buyer Dashboard:

The second option in the Vendor Drop-Down menu is “Buyer Dashboard” option. The Vendor can change to his buyer account panel page, on clicking the “Buyer Dashboard” option. In this page, the vendor can view his buyer account panel and the several options related to it.

In this Buyer Dashboard, the user can view the “Seller Dashboard” option. The user can switch back to his vendor account panel page, by clicking on the “Seller Dashboard” option.

Logout:

The last option in the Vendor Drop-Down menu is “Logout” option. On clicking the “Logout” button the vendor will be logged out from his account panel and will redirected the vendor to the store home page.

Notifications:

To know the recent notifications about Orders (Order placed by the customer after the admin approves an order), Products (Products should be approved by the admin), Transactions (When the admin make a payment to the seller), and Feedback (Admin should approve the seller feedback). These notifications can be viewed only by clicking on the “Notification” icon.

If you want to get back to the grid view of the notifications, then click the “View All” option on the notification panel. The below image shows the grid view of the notification page.

Home Icon:

If the vendor wish to get back to the home page, then click on the “Home Icon”. The page will be displayed as the below image:

Now, we are going to see about the Vendor side Panel Account-Options. The Available Options are:

  • Dashboard
  • Orders
  • Products
  • Customers
  • Transactions
  • Manage Print PDF header info
  • Review
  • Settings
  1. Dashboard:

The first option in the vendor side Panel Account-Option is “Dashboard”. If the vendor wish to view the whole statistics for his mini shop account, then just click on the Dashboard. The vendor can view the:

  • Number Of Orders Approved
  • Number Of Orders in Process
  • Number Of Complete Orders

In Dashboard, the Vendor can view the total number of orders that have been placed by the customers, the total number of products available, and they also view the total number of customers who are all logged in. They will also be able to see the whole lifetime sales and the total payment that is paid by the admin to the vendor.

In Magento seller Dashboard, the seller can also get the information about the latest orders that have been located along with the most recent comments and reviews by the customers as shown in the below image.

  1. Orders:

The second option in the vendor side Panel Account-Option is “Orders”. To spot all the orders that has been placed for this vendor’s products, then click on the “Orders” option. In this option the UI components have been used to show the grid that makes use of Ajax to show the gird data.

Click on the “Order” link below the column View which permits the seller to outlook the whole order details. The Vendor can consequently generate the shipments, produce credit memo, and emails will be send to the customers and to print the order particulars.

An Important Note:

Orders section will only be available with the option that permits the vendor to get a separate seller dashboard in Magento. This option will not be available in the default system.

  1. Products:

The third option in the vendor side Panel Account-Option is “Products”. On clicking the “Products” icon 3 options will be showed. They are:

  • Add Products
  • My Products List
  • Configurable Attribute

Add Products:

The First option in the Products menu is “Add Products”. Taping on to the “Add Products” menu, it takes you to the section to add the products. The vendor can easily add in his products from here.

My Products List:

The next option in the Products menu is “My Products List”. The vendor can find all of his products below the “My Product List”. In this page the UI components have been utilized to show the grid that makes use of Ajax to Present the grid data.

Configurable Attribute:

The last option in the Products menu is the “Configurable Attribute” option, which means here the vendor will be able to produce the attribute for configurable Products including Attribute Code, Attribute Label.

To send an email to the admin then click on the “Make a Withdrawal” button that the vendor wants to make a withdrawal.

  1. Manage Print PDF Header Info:

The sixth option in the vendor side Panel Account-Option is “Manage Print PDF Header Info”. This Manage Print PDF Header Info menu option will permit the vendor to insert their Invoice and Packing slip Address/Vat/Tax information and it can be viewed in the header of the PDF files.

  1. Review:

The seventh option in the vendor side Panel Account-Option is “Review”. This Review option is helpful for the vendor to find out all the reviews and ratings that are given by the customers. The vendor also can verify the price, value, quality ratings along with the feed summary, review and the customer name among the status of the review as well. In this review option, the UI components is utilized to show the gird that utilizes Ajax to show the grid.

An Important Note:

Ratings will be only available with the option that permits the vendor to have an individual seller dashboard. This option will not be available in the default system.

  1. Settings:

The eighth option in the vendor side Panel Account-Option is “Settings”. This, Settings menu option will help to forward the vendor to the “Marketplace Edit Seller Profile” page. If the vendor wants to edit his profile information or to view his collection and profile pages by clicking the buttons that is given for the same, then this option is used. The vendor can also supervise his information about payment on this page as well and a lot more.

Seller Product’s Settings:

The next is about seller product’s settings; in the seller product’s settings certain options are available. They are:

  • Attribute Set ID
  • Product Approval Required
  • Product Update Approval Required
  • Allow Category tree view like admin product category tree
  • Allowed Categories for seller to add products
  • Product type for seller
  • Allow seller to add products with SKU type
  • Product SKU prefix
  • Allow seller to Add related products
  • Allow seller to Add Up-sell products
  • Allow seller to Add Cross-sell products
  • Allow seller to Add Limit on product purchase for customer
  • Allowed product Quantity on product purchase for customer

1) Attribute Set ID:

For overall catalog, Attribute set ID is the default one. From the Multi-Select list, Admin can set several attributes.

2) Product Approval Required:

By this option admin can limit regular approval of the product from product Approval is required. E.g.) If the seller includes a product each and every time then that will be restrained by admin only, the store owner can set only YES or No.

3) Product Update Approval Required:

By this Product Update Approval Required option, admin can check routine approval when a seller attempts to renew any parameter of the product. E.g.) If the seller modifies a product each and every time then that will be restrained by admin only, the store owner can set only YES or No.

4) Allow Category Tree View like admin product Category Tree:

If this Allow Category Tree View like admin product Category Tree option is selected as “YES”, the seller on his Add/Edit product page will get the category tree view for picking the category for the products as it shows alike to the admin category tree view.

5) Allowed Categories for seller to add products:

This option is used in this field admin can limit seller to handle only few selected categories to add products. The categories that are not selected by admin will never appear.

6) Product Type For Seller:

In this product type for seller option, the admin will pick several dissimilar product types and those picked product types can be included by the seller from the Front-End.

7) Allow seller to add products with SKU type:

In this allow seller to add products with SKU type option the admin can permit the sellers to include the products with two categories of SKU’s- Static and Dynamic. 8) Product SKU Prefix:

In this field the value placed by the admin will be included at primary to the SKU which will be located by the seller and it only relates to the seller products. E.g.) If SKU prefix = “xyz” & product SKU is “T-Shirt” then, the product SKU becomes => “xyz”T-Shirt.

9) Allow Seller to Add Related Products:

In this option, the admin can permit the sellers to add “Related Products”, as producing or altering products from the seller’s panel.

10) Allow Seller to Add Up-Sell Products:

In this option, the admin can permit the sellers to add “Up-Sell Products”, as producing or altering products from the seller’s panel.

11) Allow Seller to Add Cross-Sell Products:

In this option, the admin can permit the sellers to add “Cross-Sell Products”, as producing or altering products from the seller’s panel.

12) Allow Seller to Add Limit on Product Purchase for Customer:

In this option, the admin can permit the seller to locate product purchase number boundary for buyers.

13) Allowed Product Quantity on Product Purchase for Customer:

In this option, the admin can generate the default value that will employ when the seller doesn’t locate any product purchase boundary. E.g.) if the admin has placed default 5 product purchase quantity and the seller has not locate any boundary then the customer can only buy 5 product quantity. If the seller has located some product quantity boundary then that boundary will be used.

 

Seller Order Settings

Next is about Seller Orders settings.

Order Approval Required

When Order approval required is set as “Yes”, then the admin has to agree every order by hand and only behind the seller will get report about the order. The order notification will mechanically be sent to the seller, if this is situated to “No”.

The seller will get a notification email and will handle and see the order from his seller’s panel, if the admin agrees an order.

Inventory Settings:

Inventory settings have two options; they are:

  • Enable Low Notification
  • Low Stock Quantity

  • Enable Low Notification:

When “Enable Low Notification” is picked as “Yes”, then seller receives notified by their e-mails, meanwhile when their inventory reduces with subsequent orders. As quickly as the inventory get to the given minimum point set by the admin, a small stock announcement email will be sent to the seller, if enabled from the admin panel.

  • Low Stock Quantity:

In Low Stock Quantity the admin will go into little stock quantity, which will permit sending little stock notification mail to sellers when product quantity will be same or fewer than this quantity.

Seller profile page settings have few options; they are:

  • Display Seller Profile
  • Enable Color Picker
  • Seller Policies Enable at frontend

  • Allow to automatic create seller public URL on Seller registration.

  • Display Seller Profile

In case, if the admin sets this display seller profile option as “Yes”, then the seller information will be able to be seen below the Magento Marketplace Seller Dashboard menu but on the product and the landing page. If this decision is placed to “No”, then the seller information will be not able to seen from the Marketplace Seller Dashboard menu in Magento 2 but on the product and the Marketplace landing page.

In other case, if the admin has selected “No” in the display seller profile, then the seller will not be able to see the customer details and information’s about the customers will be hidden and not able to be seen on the Order View page, Invoice, Credit Memo page. Buyer details will also be hidden and not able to be seen from the shipment slip and the PDF of Invoice and Credit memo.

  • Enable color picker:

If the “Enable color picker” option is set as “Yes”, then the seller can alter their page background color as per their wish.

  • Seller Policies Enable at Frontend:

If the “Seller Policies Enable at Frontend “ option is set as “Yes”, then the seller shipping and return policies will be able to seen at the frontend. If it is set as “No” by the admin, then shipping and other policies will not be able to seen at the frontend.

  • Rewrite Seller’s Shop URL:

When this “Rewrite Seller’s shop URL” option is set as “Yes”, then the seller be able to modify the URL to any name they wish for and then that new name will become visible. The seller can modify the URL of Profile page, Review page, Collection page & Location page.

  • Allow to automatic create seller public URL on Seller registration:

if the admin has preferred “Yes” for this Allow to automatic create seller public URL on Seller registration field then when a fresh customer produce a new account it mechanically creates the seller public URL at the time of registration. If the admin has preferred as “No“, then the seller will have to physically insert his rewrite URLs.

Marketplace Seller Review Settings:

In the “Marketplace Seller Review settings in Magento dashboard” if it is set to “YES”, then the customer can build a review only behind the purchase and if “NO” is selected then the customer can build a review ahead of the product purchase.

Landing Page Settings:

From “Landing Page Settings”, the admin can enable or disable the Seller registration commencing from the Customer Registration Page. From the 3 layouts the admin can select any one and customize them as per their wish.

Display Seller Registration Block on Customer Registration Page:

From “Display Seller Registration Block on Customer Registration Page”, the admin can permit or cannot permit the seller registration commencing as of the customer registration page.

The below image will show the page that “Display Seller Registration Block on Customer Registration Page” option is selected as “No”.
